A chance to come together in person as a supportive community, reconnect with your body, your artistry, and each other.
Whether you’ve been dancing consistently or stepping back in after a break, this weekend is your invitation to clean up your technique, re-ignite your confidence, and dive into a soulful new choreography por Alegrías with mantón.
What You'll Experience
This weekend is all about STRENGTHENING your dancing and connecting with your compañeras in a warm, supportive space.
We will:
- >> Refine your TECHNIQUE—posture, arms, footwork, and turns.
- >> Learn the full STRUCTURE of Alegrías and how to speak it through movement.
- >> Work from the ground up with the MANTON, building graceful, powerful, and expressive movement.
- >> Dance with LIVE MUSICIANS to feel the compás and musicality come alive.
- >> Embrace the KISS method—Keep It Strong and Simple.
- >> Learn a fun & flirty Alegrías con Mantón CHOREOGRAPHY that will culminate in a mini showing on the last day.
Who It's For
This workshop is open to advanced beginners through advanced dancers- but not brand new beginners (I'm sorry!).
You don't need to have any mantón experience but you definitely need to have some dance proficiency:
- >> Have a solid understanding of the 12-count compás.
- >> Be able to dance basic marcajes
- >> Be familiar with fundamental footwork patterns

The fine print! There are no refunds or credits for workshop or show to students who fail to attend or can't attend all days . Students who cancel within 14 days of the workshop start date will be given a refund. Rina Orellana Flamenco & the Online Flamenco Studio reserve the right to cancel or change the date of any workshop due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to notify registrants in a timely manner should this occur and full refunds will be issued.
