Meet Your Teacher,
Rina Orellana
Rina is a Madrid-trained professional flamenco dancer with over 25 years of experience. She also has had her own dance academy in Los Angeles, California for over 20 years. There she trains many dancers from beginners looking for a fun community and workout all the way to training dancers to perform on their own in tablaos (flamenco venues.) Since 2015 she also has the Online Flamenco Studio, a thriving flamenco dance membership site with over 60 courses for dancers of all levels.
Rina has a special gift with breaking down the mysteries of flamenco into easy to understand elements. So, she thoroughly enjoys watching the progress her dancers have made whether it's finally "hearing the 12" for a beginner to a tablao dancer using one of her choreographies for her show.
It’s her hope that you, too, can begin your flamenco journey with the Intro to Flamenco Course and become the flamenco dancer of your dreams.

Frequently Asked Questions
You'll need a reliable internet connection for your computer, tablet, mobile or television. For dancing, you'll need a good pair of flamenco shoes if you're sure you want to stick with flamenco. You'll also need a space to dance. If you buy flamenco shoes, then you'll need a dance floor. The dance floor can be something as simple as an inch think piece of plywood from the home improvement store covered with a coat of clear polyurethane. You'll receive resources for both with your purchase.
The videos are available by streaming only. So you need an internet connection for your mobile, tablet, computer or television to access the course. Downloading the videos are not possible. But you will always have access to these videos!
You will be able to download the music from the choreography directly from the site. However, there is a link for the practice music for you to purchase. There practice music is "solo compás", or rhythm by itself like a drum machine. You can also find this music for free on YouTube
The choreography is 1 minute and 18 seconds long. You'll want to dedicate time to learning this choreography. I spend about 6-8 weeks teaching this material to my new beginners live group class. That would be once a week for an hour. However, if you can spend 15 minutes a few times per week, I'm sure you could complete this in 4 weeks, maybe sooner. It all depends on how much time you put in and how much dance experience you already have.
