I've had dancers join my classes after years of studying — dozens of choreographies, serious time, real dedication. And they still felt lost inside the dance. They couldn't tell you why a certain section happens when it does, or what comes next if they lose their place. They were reciting words in a language they didn't fully understand.
The structure is simply the parts and sections of a dance — the natural flow that makes flamenco make sense.
Once you have it, you watch with understanding, you learn faster, and you dance with real confidence. This is how a dancer can walk onto any stage and perform with musicians without rehearsal. Because everyone speaks the same language.

*The overall flow of a dance and how to identify them.
*How to distinguish the differences between llamadas, remates and cierres.
*Understand the differences between taconeo and escobillas.
*Which artist (guitarist, singer, dancer) is leading and/or following throughout the dance.
*We'll watch flamenco performance videos and go over the sections of full flamenco dances in Alegrías and Solea por Bulerías.

Trained in Madrid and based in Los Angeles, California, I've been dancing flamenco for over 25 years and training dancers, from new beginners through advanced, ready to dance in tablaos- for 20 years.
