You’ve probably learned a bunch of different pataítas but have NO idea how to actually use them.
What you really need is to *truly* understand the COMPAS and the STRUCTURE.
You need to internalize the compás so fear doesn't knock it out of you!
And you can't totally rely on choreography — it might not match what the singer is singing. You need to adapt and that comes from knowing the structure.

This FREE workshop is open to all levels. But it may be too advanced for new beginners. So, you should have *some* experience, especially with the 12 count palos.
No. This FREE workshop is setting up to be able to learn a patada and actually understand how it works and how to adapt it. You MUST understand the COMPAS and the STRUCTURE FIRST before learning any dance steps!! So, we'll be practicing our palmas and watching videos.
I hear over and over again from so many dancers that they just want to go out and dance a little pataíta. But then they learn a bunch of choreographies and feel like crap when they try to actually dance them in a fin de fiesta. That's because they didn't learn the two most important things- internalizing the compás and understanding the structure.
